Combat Arms Easter Eggs

Video game easter eggs are not of the chocolatey type, but are small surprises that are implanted into the game for a laugh. Combat Arms has a few of these so might as well look at them!

Some people may argue that some of these aren't actual easter eggs but merely scenery but I decided to post them anyway! Click images for a larger view.

1. When loading up Combat Arms, the little running man in the corner can jump. By hitting the spacebar, the guy jumps up and down. Rapidly pressing spacebar will make the man jump higher and higher.

2. On maps with unbreakable boxes on the side of the box it states: "Not suitable for Solid S." This is referring to Solid Snake who hides under boxes.

3. A boarded-up window in Waverider can be broken. Peeking inside will reveal a painting of what people believe to be Nexon staff.

4. A computer in Snow Valley features the Windows XP loading screen. This has been removed due to copyright reasons.

5.  The underground parts of Snow Valley contains a Russian poster with references on how to run a pizzeria.

6. Sand Hog features a partially destroyed pick-up truck with "Toyoya" at the back. This is a reference to Toyota. Trucks can be seen with the logo "VOIVO" in reference to Volvo.

7.  Maps such as Gray Hammer and Two Towers have crates labeled with "Nexmon" and "Noxen", referring to Nexon.

8. Graffiti in Desert Thunder and Sand Hog depict a starved man talking about a number of families nearby requiring assistance.

9. Power Surge contains a room with a chalk body outline, usually seen in murder crime scenes.

10. Junk Flea bases contain corned beef and a carton of milk.

11. Some maps have a chalkboard outlining financial plans of someone.

12. Waverider contains an edited painting of Leonardo Da Vinci's Last Supper.

13. The computers used in Nemexis are by JVC.

14. Power Surge doors have "Glorioso" and "S. L. Benfica" engraved on them. Glorioso is the nickname of the football team S.L. Benfica. (Thanks for the corrections!)

15. The side of the UMP contained the text "Fuck the Police combat arms", which would be visible when reloading. This was removed.

Couldn't find the original picture from the thread that got Nexon to remove it, but here's a REZ mod.

16. Short Fuse contains vending machines for CocaCoke. They offer:
  • Sunkist
  • Knale Cola
  • Finale
  • SPA
  • Dr Pepper
  • and indistinguishable others

17. In 2008, the 'Clan' tab on the GUI contained a grayed-out Ubuntu logo without the permission of the Linux distribution. It was then later changed to a triangle.

18. Ghost Town Alpha base contains a few posters pasted across the walls. One of the more readable posters is of Tower Hamlets Community Fair 2005 in the UK...

19. In the December edition of the Ask the Producer Video Blogs, one of the producers mentioned an Easter Egg in the most recent map addition, Ghost Town. This is the "Combat Arms Musical" poster that is on one of the walls of Ghost Town which was an April Fools 2010 joke, similarly stuck up like the poster above.

Question of the Post
What is your favourite drink from the Coca Cola company?

Did you know?
In Snow Valley there is a room with many servers. It happens to be a replica of Nexon's server room:

/s (not really but Nexon's servers are known to be pretty bad)

  7. Also, this was in the Developer Blog video CA Posted on their Facebook Wall.
One of the developers even said "If you were here for April Fools Day Last year, you'll see a fun easter egg in ghost town".

In Ghost Town, you can see posters advertising the Combat Arms Musical, which was a April Fools Joke Nexon did in 2009.

    I promise u u'll find it!!

  8. Thanks anon! Easter egg 19 added.
The CA Musical was in 2010 though, wasn't it? Last year was the Nutshot. I got it confused myself.

  9. Remember that "Glorioso" and "SLBenfica" were requested to appear on that map because a Portuguese GM named Chimera (CAE).
